Important Winter Concert Information

Dear Douglas Park School Families:

Due to the large number of students performing in this year’s concert and the guidelines we must follow regarding strict Fire Code Regulations, we are pleased to offer several shows to present the Grades 5-8 Choir and the Kindergarten to Grade 5 performance of...“The Grumps of Ring-A-Ding Town.”  We apologize for the complexity of these plans with so many details, but we want to ensure that we can accommodate audience numbers and safety for everyone. Since the day time shows do not typically have as many guests, we strongly encourage family members such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, caregivers and so on to attend the morning/afternoon shows.

*We may have additional tickets available for the evening concert. If your family is not using your evening tickets, please return them with your child by Tuesday, December 5h by 9:00 AM to their teacher. These extra tickets will be distributed by a draw system for families that may want an additional ticket.  Then these tickets will be sent home to the winners on Friday, December 8th.  Please fill out the form below if you are interested in being included in the draw for an additional ticket.

“The Grumps of Ring-A-Ding Town” musical will require the students to wear a specific colour scheme.  More details about the dress/costumes will be issued in a separate note in a few weeks.  The Grades 5-8 choir is asked to wear all black clothing.

Students in Grades 4 and 5 who have cast parts in “The Grumps” are required to attend both evening shows, but their families will only be issued tickets for their assigned day.  Students can be dropped off at the front doors by 6:30 PM and picked up after the show (approximately 7:40 PM).  Thanks for your understanding and cooperation with the cast members time commitment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with these requests!  We are looking forward to a wonderful concert. See you there!  If you have any questions, please call us at 306-523-3720 or email at danielle.yuhasz@rbe.sk.ca.
